With Beethoven to the NYT

Brand Story & Content

The Bose Frames turn Beethoven into an audio guide: In Vienna and New York, it guides you to original locations thanks to the GPS function and augmented reality technology. We wrote the audio walks and handled the entire audio production. The result: an interactive city experience where visitors with sunglasses and a smartphone app can effortlessly immerse themselves in Beethoven’s world – in the middle of the 21st century.

“In a world of polarization, the new Vienna Tourist Board podcast is a plea for mutual listening and understanding. With ‘BAHÖ’, we highlight similarities in the midst of contrasts without denying the authenticity of the Viennese originals. From our regular guest surveys, we know that around half of all visitors to Vienna are repeat or regular guests. ‘BAHÖ’ is intended to give these Vienna lovers in particular the opportunity to immerse themselves even more deeply in the diversity of the city” – Tourism Director Norbert Kettner

In the New York Times and the Effie

The use of audio augmented reality in conjunction with Beethoven was also interesting enough for the New York Times to report on it in an article. The industry recognized the efficiency of the measure with an Effie 2020 in gold.
